Chinese New Year
Christopher and I went to see the new year celebrations in China Town just over a week ago. It was a bit of a grey day so some of the exposures were a bit long and there's been a bit of motion blur, but there was a great atmosphere to the whole event.
Hopefully more photo opportunities coming soon as the weather improves and term settles down a bit.

The motion blur adds to the atmosphere - especially where fill-flash was used to add sparkle. There are some excellent pictures here, but the one which stands out for me is the three guys on the fire escape. The way they are positioned on the steps relative to each other and the lanterns is a great piece of composition.
