Don't blame it on the moonlight

The moon looked amazing tonight, with a beautiful flare halo around it and the occasional shooting star from the Geminid meteor shower. It also makes for quite an amazing photo when enhanced some...

Three Peaks...Almost

Chris and I attempted to do the Three Peaks Challenge last weekend, collecting money for the NSPCC, St Peter's Hospice and Wallace and Gromit's Grand Appeal (if you'd like to make a donation, please go to: http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/BorehamThreePeaks. The challenge is to climb Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon in under 24 hours. Sadly, we were so badly delayed by the weather on Scafell Pike that we didn't have time to attempt Snowdon that weekend, and we're going back there on Saturday. However, I thought I'd share some of the photos from the climbs that we did do...

A Taste of Spring at Dyrham Park

Dad was with us last weekend and we took advantage of his car to get out of Bristol and visit somewhere new. It was free entry weekend for the National Trust, so we went to Dyrham Park, near Chippenham. A very interesting house (film set for one of the Dr Who episodes in last season).

More Sweden/Norway photos coming soon....

Absolut-ly Frozen

It's been a busy couple of weeks, but here are a few more Icehotel photos - this time centered around the Ice Bar and our room. And just to prove that we were actually there and this isn't an elaborate hoax, this week's photos even include us! The wonders of self timer mode...

All the ice is made from water from the Torne River, which runs right past the hotel
Tipsy fish...

Still to come: huskies, moose, reindeer and the northern lights.

Scandinavian Amuse Bouche

I've recently got back from our belated honeymoon to Scandinavia and I ask you to bear with me while I work through the some 1300 photos that I took during the week. I'm planning on posting the pictures in groups based on location/activity, but it'll take a few days to get them all done.

However, to whet your appetites here are a small selection of photos that I've had a quick go at. Let me know what you think...
